The netting allows sunlight, ventilation, and moisture to enter the pond while keeping out leaves and debris. They also protect the pond from predators.
BigTop Pond covers come with a handy storage bag, and is made from black poly netting. The holes are 1/6” or 0.5 cm, so that the leaves will not pass through. To use all you have to do is strech it across the pond and stake it to the ground. The larger nets use poles to support the center and keep it out of the water.
